It's dark out, and there's a breeze stirring the humid air -- much cooler than it was in the afternoon. Peter's perched on Kaylee's swing, staring up at the sky.

It's crazy how many stars you can see in places not New York City.

Tonight (at a table, fingers raked through her hair) it's a sandwich.

Not grilled cheese, for once: she's branched out to grilled cheese and tomato. The tomato adds something, Kaylee thinks -- something that almost makes it taste like food. Pretty good.

She might even finish the whole thing.
